The Seychelles is an archipelago comprised of 115 small granitic and coralline islands located in the Indian Ocean to the north of Madagascar. The total area of the islands is 405 sq. Km with Mahe being the largest island (143 square km). The climate is subequatorial with temperatures averaging from 26-32 C. The vibrant population is approximately 85,000, descended primarily from Africans, Europeans, and traders from India, China and the Middle East. The official languages are English and French though Creole is widely spoken and English remains the language of business. The Seychelles Rupee is the official currency.

Seychelles is very independent and has no economic ties with the US, EU, UK or Australia and it has not signed any information sharing agreements with the US, EU, UK or the Australian Internal Revenue Services.

The ( Seychelles ) International Business Companies Act 1994 provides for the incorporation of companies licensed to conduct business worldwide except Seychelles.

Special License Companies ( CSL) 


The CSL's are Seychelles domestic companies granted with a Special License. A CSL is foreseen and considered as a tax-resident in Seychelles (1.5% on its worldwide income). Its main purpose is to obtain benefits of the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) since a CSL falls within the ambit of a resident under the DTAA.
